Volunteer Opportunities

MassPI is seeking volunteers (professionals and laypersons) interested in improving the quality of life for those affected by pain. Volunteers participate in councils which are an integral part of MassPI’s mission and important for the achievement of our current and future goals. Listed below are the councils for which MassPI is seeking volunteers. Please indicate the area in which you have an interest. More information can be provided by the contact person for each council.

Councils

Education Council: Goal is to educate and inform healthcare professionals and the public about effective pain management and coordinate educational programs to improve quality of care.

Policy Council: Goal is to improve state pain policy by working with lawmakers, executive branch policy officials and DPH officials to promote pain-friendly legislation and regulation and by removing legislative and regulatory barriers to effective pain management.

Communications Council: Goal is to develop and maintain effective communication with our membership and promote our mission via newsletters, the MassPI website and other communication strategies.

Membership: Goal is to increase the number of volunteers and overall membership in MassPI and increase the activity of members in MassPI's leadership.
